Sharing the same geometry and performance as the World Cup-winning Exie USA, Ibis's newest offering is handbuilt in Vietnam. It’s everything you love about the US-made offering (albeit ~250g heavier) in a wallet-friendly build.
Build Kits include Shimano Deore, Shimano SLX, and SRAM Eagle GX
Available in Raw Carbon with Navy/Orange accents and Bone/Gold accents
The first Exie was designed, built, and tested in Ibis' Santa Cruz manufacturing facility, powered by the warm California sunshine. This is the first carbon fiber full-suspension bike they have developed and manufactured. It is the culmination of a seven-year project to rethink every aspect of the process. It is the lightest bike they have ever produced.
DETAILS:
DW-Link Suspension
Don’t squander a single watt. Our dw-link suspension platform offers incredible climbing efficiency and traction along with plush, downhill-crushing goodness.
Size-Specific Seat Angles
Whether you’re racing short track or on a multi day epic, the Exie’s seat tube angles allow you to harness your strongest muscles, while reducing any potential knee or wrist strain. They’ve also steepened the seat tube angles as the frames get larger, to allow riders with different inseams to achieve the same riding positions.
Ride More, Wrench Less
Ibis uses bushings where it makes sense and bearings where it doesn’t. The IGUS bushings in their lower link are lighter, stiffer, and virtually maintenance free. They’ve also added features like a threaded bottom bracket to help make any future maintenance easy.
Internal Cable Routing
Internal cable routing doesn’t have to be a pain. Ibis added internal tubes to thier tubes, no picksets, flashlights, or swear words were required.
2.4” Tire Clearance
You can run overbuilt, chunky tires; you can run light, big volume fast tires, but whatever you run, you’re not limited by width.
Integrate Chain Guide
Drop the hammer, not your chain.
The Final Word
The Exie is ready for anything, whether that’s a World Cup XC, a multi-day epic, or an after-work sprint. It’s a true mountain bike. If you’re looking for a lightweight no-compromise tool that’s designed to be ridden hard, this is it.
